The Why's of Life

Well it has been awhile and as always there is alot going on, but I am learning to sit back and not ask God why things are the way they are. Sydney and Michael are doing their usual with horseback riding and football and soccer tryouts. We were so blessed this week with David being home all week- the first time since before Christmas and have enjoyed every minute.

Now the Why's start... the newest addition to our extended family is now 6 weeks old and as cute as a button. Christian was born to my middle brother Stephan who lives in Scotland and looks like my sister-in-law with that beautiful spanish colouring and hair (she's from Chile). We have just recently found out that he is deaf and missing all his nailbeds on his fingers and toes. He is also missing some of the top joints- why God is a question that I asked right away. The peace that came with praying of this is overwhelming- a reminder that it is God's plan and He knows exactly what will happen with this beautiful baby. The kids are excited that they get to learn a new language so that they will be able to communicate with their youngest cousin. Not a day went from the first round of news, when we found out my brother's 2 year old tripped and went through a glass door which lead to a trip to the Emergency Dept, multiple stitch sites and an overnight stay at the hospital. God again knew what He was doing.

Now onto the good Why's- Michael must have been listening last Sunday at church because he decided to witness to one of the neighbour kids as they were sitting watching TV. He understands the Holy Spirit and was able to get his point across as only kids can sometimes. This lead to the friend coming to KIDS Rock this past Wednesday night and the family is coming to church on Sunday- God certainly is good.

Just a few random thoughts as the week comes to a close and we are trying daily to make sure that we are living our life the way God wants us to.
