Man Camp

David got home this afternoon after a weekend at Man Camp with some of the men from our church. Eventhough he travels as much as he does I don't think he minded this short trip. It was a short time away to reflect on the God we worship and spend some quality time with the friends he doesn't get to see except in passing. The only bad thing is we only had him home for 3 hours before he needed to head to the airport for a week of work in Las Vegas.
I came to find out during our brief time we had to talk that men don't discuss much, they go to bed way too early, and they love their wives especially when they are sent with cookies in hand. Now on a women's retreat or even a night out with girlfriends, we women have the time of our lives (not that the men don't) and don't stop talking. This must a good difference that God has given the different sexes because if we were both the same there would either be no talking (or very little) or too much talking and neither person would be heard.
I love my husband for who he is, his love for the Lord and the great father that he is. He made sure that each of us had our time with him before he boarded yet another plane.
One of these days he will be home more than away, but until them all we can do is send him off with our hugs, kisses and prayers.
