Blessings

It seems that I have taken and continue to take too much for granted. We are so blessed with the family we have and are watching Sydney and Michael grow up before our eyes. Just over 7 weeks ago my sister-in-law gave birth to the newest addition to the family- Christian. I know I'm the impartial aunt but he is beautiful. It doesn't matter that he was born deaf and doesn't have any nails on his fingers or toes- he is still beautiful. God has made this joyous baby this way for reasons only He knows. We try to take this in and understand when the next blow comes and Christian starts having seizures to often and bad that he has been in the hospital for a week and will be there at least another week.

David and I sat the kids down Sunday afternoon to tell them that the beautiful new cousin that they have only seen pictures of is very sick. As we sat as a family to pray for Christian as well as my brother and sister-in-law we could see Sydney really start to process the situation. Her questions were precise and well thought out and she came to the conclussion on her own that her other two cousins Santiago and Sebastian should come to our house so that Christian could get better. We would love for this to happen but Sebastian and Santiago don't live down the street or even in this country- they are in Scotland. "That's ok mom you can take a plane to them and bring them back"!! Only from the mouth of babes.

Our blessing are two beautiful, kind, caring and God following children. My brother's blessings are 3 beautiful boys including one whom God has a special purpose for only He knows and will let us know when the time is right and we will understand.
