An Answer to Prayer

These two weeks have been a little unnerving as we waited for Michael's cerebral angiogram to go down on Friday. The plan was to wait until Thursday night to tell both Sydney and Michael what was going to happen so they wouldn't worry. That was our jobs as parents:). Unfortunately when David picked Syd up from horse riding she said something to him, so someone let it out of the bag without us knowing. As the big sister she has been a mother hen to Michael- wonder how much longer that will last!!

When we were all home we told both the kids what was going to happen. Michael was most concerned that Sydney again got to sleep over a Blake's (when will it be my turn he asked) and if there was going to be a needle involved. The answer was yes to the needle inwhich there were instant tears and a definite NO:). The joys of being too young to understand why the test was being done.

Thursday night Sydney was taken to the Herrman's- which seems to be here second home these days and Michael got to spend some time with Blake and Craig. One last group prayer and Sydney was tucked into bed and off to bed we went.

Friday Michael was such a trooper and pleasantly surprised us all (thank you God). The anesthesiologist let us go into the angio room as she told Michael a story to put him to sleep. She also gave his stuffed iguana a mask so that he could sleep- another praise! After about an hour the Neuroradiologist came out to say that the lesion on Michael's brain is benign but will need watched with repeat scans. All the prayers that we had said and continue to say as well as all those people who prayed for Michael have shown just how big our God is. God continued to work with Michael in keeping him still for the next 6 hours as he had to lay flat on his back without any complaints.

Thanks to all of you who have prayed for Michael as well as the rest of us. There aren't words that I can use. We love you all:)
